'Ab Tera Kya Hoga Jaadyaa'- Fans left fuming as Rohit Sharma scores 2 runs against Bangladesh

Rohit Sharma has come under intense scrutiny for not scoring runs in the 20-20 World Cup so far. He has had scores of 4, 15 and 2 in three of his four innings. This has been a dismal show from the captain of India so far. He failed to make use of his reprieve when he was dropped on 1 off 5 deliveries.

The pressure of captaincy has got to Rohit as he has failed to deliver with the bat. This was seen in the Asia Cup 2022 as well where he scored just 133 runs from four innings in the multilateral tournament.

Rohit has also not been at his cool and calm self as a captain. Whenever someone has made mistakes on the field or whenever the national side has been under pressure he is seen glaring at the fielders. There have also been instances of him ignoring bowlers if they say anything.

The skipper of India has felt the heat and the weight of expectations seem to take a toll on him. The skipper is not able to take in the pressure and score big runs for the Men in Blue.  This is not the Rohit that was seen in the Indian T20 League where he was calm and collected under pressure and won matches for the Mumbai franchise.

He has also changed his approach of playing the game where earlier he used to take his time and play the situation when he was not the skipper but now he always tries to put pressure on the bowlers and plays a big shot which inevitably leads to his dismissal.

He needs to take initiative and score runs in India’s remaining matches so that his career is not on the line and that he can still extend his career if he has runs behind his belt. A senior player like him needs to use his experience and change fortunes for his side for the rest of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.
