Australian skipper Pat Cummins and the former Australian cricketer Steve Waugh met the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Sydney ahead of the upcoming Test Championship Final between India and Australia. PM Modi addressed top Australian CEOs in a bid on Wednesday at a business roundtable in Sydney and encouraged them to form partnerships with Indian peers, in a bid to expand India - Australia business ties.
Pat Cummins will be seen back in cricketing action next month after he left the previous Indian tour after playing just two Tests due to his mother’s critical health. He will be seen leading the Australian team in the Test Championship final against India that is scheduled to be played at the Oval in England from June 7th to June 11th. After the final, Australia will take on the hosts England for the most-famous Ashes series
Australia will be looking to settle scores with Rohit Sharma’s Indian team after losing a recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy against them by 1-2. Meanwhile, the Indian team has also started gearing up for the big final as Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Axar Patel have already left for England with the Rahul Dravid-led coaching staff.
