Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav is all the rage in world cricket today after his sensational performance with the bat against Sri Lanka. The right-hand batter brought Sri Lanka bowlers to their knees with his sensational hitting as he made 112 runs in just 51 balls.
Following his incredible performance many cricket fans and former players are heaving massive praise on the batter. One such former player is Danish Kaneria who called Yadav ‘a beast’.
The former Pakistan bowler posted a video on his official YouTube channel where he talked about Yadav’s breathtaking inning and compared him to T20I greats Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers.
“The new Universe Boss is Suryakumar Yadav-the beast. Now, what can I tell about this lad, even before I have said that a player like Suryakumar comes once in a lifetime. The innings which he played today, scoring 112 off 51, no one can replicate that,” Kaneria began his video praising the batter.
He continued, “Chahe AB ki baad karen, Chris Gayle ki baat karen, ye dono iske saamne bilkul ek chhote player nazar aate hain (AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle pale in comparison to Suryakumar Yadav).”
It's important to put pressure on yourself- Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav brought Hardik Pandya-led India a dominating victory over Sri Lanka in the 3rd T20I. With this win, India also won the 3-match series by 2-1. Yadav laid emphasis on the importance of practice in his post-match interview.
“It’s really important to put pressure on yourself when you are preparing for a game. If you do that in practice, it gets a little easier while playing the game. There is a lot of hard work involved but it’s about doing quality practice sessions. You should know what your game is and prepare accordingly,” Suryakumar said in the post-match presentation.
“Boundaries behind are like 50-60 meters, so I was targeting them. There are some shots that are pre-determined but you need to have other shots too so that if the bowler changes his plan, you can have an answer,” he said.
