The Indian team is set to contest the Asia Cup 2023, which will begin on August 30. Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar named 17 players for the continental championship. Hardik Pandya was picked as vice-captain of the squad, while KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are returning to the Indian team after recovering from their injuries. Whereas Sanju Samson has been picked as the backup player for the 17-member squad. The online streaming platform ‘Disney+ Hotstar' recently launched a campaign where they announced free streaming on Mobile applications for the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup 2023. 

The Rohit Sharma-led side is going with two spinners for the continental championship starting on August 30 - Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. Yuzvendra Chahal was snubbed from the Asia Cup squad. Chahal last played an ODI at the start of the year against New Zealand, whereas his last game for the Men in Blue was in the recently concluded T2OI series vs West Indies, where the Indian side lost the five-game series by 2-3.

Asia Cup 2023 will be held in the 50-over format

Speaking of the viral video, it is a casual video where the audience is told that they can watch live streaming of these marquee events anywhere in the world. The spokesperson of the online streaming platform says that Cricket holds a special place in the hearts of Indians and they want to make this sport even more accessible to the users.

In the tournament, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal are taking part. All six teams are divided into two groups, A and B. India, Pakistan, and Nepal are in Group A, while Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh are on the opposite table. This year's Asia Cup fixtures are scheduled to be in the 50-over format, whereas India will start their campaign against Pakistan on September 2 in Sri Lanka.
