Aaron Finch has been going through one of the toughest times in international cricket. The batter is going through ‘personal hell’ and it has been reported by The Telegraph. As per the reports, the Australian skipper might take a call on his ODI career on Saturday.
The star batter has been struggling to even time the ball. He played poorly in the Zimbabwe series and managed to score only fifteen, one and five in the three innings that he played against the red team. The team then marched on to play against New Zealand.
The poor form continued for the veteran against the Kiwis too. In the two innings that he has played so far, the batter has amassed only five runs, including a duck in the second ODI. Post second ODI, the fans started slamming the 35-year-old and requested him to retire from ODI cricket.
Arguably so, the batter’s performances have dipped of late and it remains to be seen if he would continue in the format. If at all he continues, he might decide to step down from captaincy.

I think that could cause more chaos: Michael Clarke
Michael Clarke went all out to back Aaron Finch on Big Sports Breakfast on Friday. He said that the Australian skipper should not be dropped especially with 20-20 World Cup right around the corner. The legend further added that removing the 36-year-old from captaincy could cause more harm than good.
"It’s a tough time to change your captain a month out before the World Cup. I think the selectors are hoping he can get a score and then he goes into that World Cup with confidence, we keep our structure and our plan for the World Cup and we dominate that and have success here in Australia," Clarke said on the show.
“It’s a massive call to drop your captain a month out from a World Cup. I think that could cause more chaos," he added further. The decision is all left to Finch to take a call on his career and as it stands, Australia will take on New Zealand in the third ODI at Cairns on September 11.
