Great feeling to finish over the line after a poor start: Grace Harris
Meanwhile, in the third game of the tournament between Gujarat and UP, Harris rose to the occasion. Alongside Sophie Ecclestone, the Australia all-rounder took the team over the line. Chasing 170, the Yellow brigade, UP lost seven wickets for just 102 runs. From an impossible situation, Harris and Sophie took the team over the line with one ball left in the game.
After the game, the former was adjudged Player of the Match. She scored 59 off 26 balls.
"Started poorly and I thought I was fluffing around. You need to get the conditions of the wicket and I was thankful that Sophie also motored along. Great feeling to finish over the line. Knew what I wanted to do. I was getting antsy when there were so many breaks in the DRS. I was able to compose myself, but I was psyched to get the batting and score. Love batting with freedom. The coach is supportive and tells me to be free.
