After India's humiliating defeat in the World Test Championship finals against Australia, Cricket experts and pundits have criticised the team management. Meanwhile, some fans started recalling the era of former India skipper MS Dhoni when India won three back-to-back multi-national trophies in just six years.

Highlighting the same a fan praised Dhoni and said, "No coach, no mentor, young boys, most of the senior players denied to take part. never captained any single match before. This guy defeated prime Australia in the semifinals and won a T20 World Cup in 48 days after becoming captain." This tweet didn't go well with ace India spinner Harbhajan Singh who responded with a message that all 11 won the trophy.

He said, "Yes when these matches were played this young boy was playing alone from India.. not the other 10 .. so alone he won the World Cup trophies .. irony when Australia or any other nation win the World Cup headlines say Australia or etc country won. But when India wins it’s said the captain won it’s a team sport. Win together lose together."

India struggled against Australia with the bat

As India was asked to chase 444 runs in the second innings to win the World Test Championship finals team once again failed to bat well. Before the fifth and final day on Sunday, India was 164/3, with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane undefeated on 44 and 20, respectively. However, shortly before the lunch break on Day 5, Scott Boland (3/46) and Nathan Lyon (4/41) went through the Indian middle and lower order to see them off for 234.

As a result, Australia became the first team to win all multi-national trophies available. Australia has won the ODI World Cup five times, the Champions Trophy twice, and the T20 World Cup once, in addition to the WTC. Meanwhile, Indian players will be having off for a month before the West Indies tour. India will start their campaign for the next cycle of the World Test Championship with two-match Test series against West Indies starting on July 12.
