Rohit Sharma's reminder of how to celebrate a festival angered fans as he said everyone should be careful around animals during this festival. Fans took to their social media handles and expressed their frustration by trolling the captain for his "gyan".
This is not the first time that cricketers have made statements about how people should celebrate festivals. not waste water and be careful with animals during Holi. Earlier Indian captain Virat Kohli was brutally trolled on Twitter for urging his fans to not burst crackers on Diwali. In a video message, the former India captain urged his fans to refrain from busting crackers this Diwali in order to protect the environment. Many social media users expressed their anger at Kohli's request and trolled him a lot.
