Former World No. 3 Sloane Stephens caught the attention of tennis fans around the world with her appealing outfits at the 2023 French Open. Stephens, who had been associated with Nike since 2018, recently ended her contract and signed a new deal with Free People Movement, an American fashion brand.
Stephens becomes the fourth WTA player to part ways with Nike for the 2023 season, following Marta Kostyuk, Marketa Vondrusova and Donna Vekic. She has been donning a variety of eye-catching outfits on the court since then including, vibrant shades of bright pink, electric blue, and emerald green.

Stephens reached the fourth round of the French Open for the ninth time in her career, defeating Yulia Putintseva 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. She converted seven of her 10 break points to defeat Kazakhstan's Putintseva and improve her winning record to 12-2 in her last 14 clay court matches.
Stephens to face Aryna Sabalenka in the fourth round
The former US Open champion faces a significant challenge in the fourth round in Paris when she clash against second seed Aryna Zabalenka. Although their three previous meetings have gone to three sets, Stephens trails 0-3 in her head-to-head against Sabalenka. On Sunday, the two will play the fourth round of Roland Garros on Philippe Chatrier court - their first-ever meeting on clay.
Stephens reached the French Open final in 2018, but was defeated by Simona Halep 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 as the Romanian won her first Grand Slam title. Stephens also advanced to the quarterfinals of Roland Garros in 2019 and 2022. Sabalenka, on the other hand, reached the fourth round of the claycourt Major for the first time in her career, defeating Kamilla Rakhimova 6-2, 6-2.
