5 most expensive players bids in Pro Kabaddi League season 9

The Pro Kabaddi League 2022 auction saw some of the historic bids ever. The 12 teams competed with each other to get the preferred players into their squad. This auction took place on August 5 and August 6. As many as 130 players were sold in the auction that went on for two days.

The first day was a cracker with the highest bids taking place. And the second day saw teams making strategic bids to back up the players that they bought on Day 1. Here are the five most expensive players from the Pro Kabaddi League season 9 auction:

1) Pawan Sehrawat (2.26 crores):

Pawan Sehrawat is one of the most sought-after raiders in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. With 986 raid points under his belt, the teams were all prepared to bid for him as soon as he came under the hammer in the auction.

Tamil Thalaivas went all out after him and bought him for a whopping 2.26 crores. Sehrawat was the most valuable player in season 6. And this bid has made him the most expensive player in the history of the league. He is also the only player to cross the 2-crore mark.

2) Vikash Khandola (1.70 crores):

Vikash Khandola was the most expensive player with 1.70 crores until Pawan Sehrawat came under the hammer. The Bengaluru Bulls team went for him and competed with many teams. And the Bulls managed to bag him for a whopping 1.70 crores.

Vikash Khandola is the second most expensive player after Pawan Sehrawat in the history of the league. Haryana Steelers made use of Vikash Khandola's services last year. This year, all eyes will be on Bengaluru Bulls.

3) Fazal Atrachali (1.38 crores):

Fazal Atrachali, the Iranian-born defender was bought by Puneri Paltan for 1.38 crores. Fazal Atrachali is one of the most loved foreign kabaddi players. And the teams went berserk once his name popped up for the bidding. And Puneri Paltan won the battle.

The 30-year-old defender captains his national team and captained the U Mumba team earlier. He will render his services for Puneri Paltan this year. And the player might as well lead the Paltan team as well.

4) Guman Singh (1.22 crores):

Guman Singh, one of the most consistent raiders alongside Pardeep Narwal and Pawan Sehrawat made his way into the U Mumba squad. U Mumba and Tamil Thalaivas fought hard for Pawan Sehrawat. U Mumba missed out on Sehrawat.

Guman Singh might be a great replacement. After playing for Patna Pirates last season, Guman Singh will don the U Mumba jersey this year.

5) Pardeep Narwal (90 Lakhs):

UP Yoddhas bagged Pardeep Narwal, the raider with the most raid points in the league history, for 90 lakhs. In the 131 appearances he has made so far in the league, the raider has amassed 1348 raid points. He is considered to be the best raider in history.

Gujarat Giants bid him for 90 lakhs. However, UP Yoddhas used to Final Bid Match (FBM) to retain him in their squad. He will play for the Yoddhas once again.
