The sport of Cricket is very intense and relentless. The sport takes a lot of endurance and stamina. The Cricketers are subject to constant pressure and scrutiny every time they step onto the cricket field. They have to switch off and on when they get breaks, and for that everyone needs a hobby.

This helps them to get some downtime and unwind. Here we look at 5 Cricketers and their hobbies

1. Mathew Hayden

The Tall Aussie great is known for his big frame and his nature of getting into fights on the field, but off it he is a gentle giant. His favourite hobby is cooking. Hayden used to use this hobby to unwind. Hayden's family owns a farm in Australia and Mathew Hayden always used to whip up meals from the fresh produce available there.

Parthiv Patel has recalled an incident where Mathew Hayden once called him to his home and prepared a very nice dal for Patel, who was finding it hard to get food in Australia. Mathew Hayden has said that he can whip up a great dal and a chicken barbeque.

2. Brett Lee-

The former Australian pacer has had an aggressive attitude and has bowled fast with full tilt on the cricket field. He also was never short of having a war of words on the field. Brett Lee has a very interesting hobby. He is a very good musician. He has composed a lot of songs and has put out music albums as well.

Brett Lee has a great connection to India. He performed a Hindi song as a duet with the great singer Asha Bhosle. He had told Gaurav Kapoor on his show 'Breakfast with Champions' that it was an honour to perform with her and that he loved the experience. This is one of the fondest memories of recollection the pacer has until this day.

3. Jonty Rhodes-

The former South African stamped his authority on the game of Cricket by showing everyone that fielding is an art and that one can turn a match just by good fielding efforts. He had an amazing cricket career. Jonty has been a fielding coach for Mumbai and Punjab in the Indian T20 League.

He is very fit even now and he keeps his body top-notch. One of his favourite hobbies is surfing. This helps him unwind and look at things through a different lens. He was seen surfing at a spot in Chennai with Mathew Hayden in a video aired by Star Sports on TV.

MS Dhoni is known for having fun with his teammates and also is known as 'Captain Cool'. He loves to do extraordinary things. He has a great love for the army, and also a great collection of bikes. To top this, He has a fond passion for gaming.

He uses the Hobby for getting some downtime even now amidst his hectic schedule. Games allow any person to unwind and be their free selves and explore the world of virtual reality. It also helps someone like Dhoni be fully refreshed and renewed.

5. Michael Clarke-

He likes to unwind by going shopping. He said that it is his guilty habit and that he does not miss an opportunity to shop whenever he gets a chance. With top cricketers like Clarke who earned top dollar throughout his career, it is very easy to go and get some downtime by shopping.
