England and Pakistan are taking on each other in the second Test at Multan. On a pitch, which has good amount of turn, England struggled to play against Abrar Ahmed. The wrist-spinner picked up 7-114 in his 22-over spell in the first innings. He followed it with 4-120 in his 29-over spell in the second innings, thus picking up 11 wickets in the match.

Pakistan were bowled out for 202 in the second innings, giving England a 71-run lead. In the second innings, England scored 275 and set Pakistan a target of 355 in the fourth innings. Pakistan got off to a great start but England fought back. After not losing any wicket in the first hour, James Anderson came up with an absolute peach of a delivery to Rizwan just after Lunch.

Rizwan was Pakistan's first wicket to fall in the second innings

James Anderson bowled a ball angling into Rizwan, who stood outside his crease and came forward to defend. However, the ball straightened at the last minute. It did not take the outside edge but went on to rattle the stumps.  This was a jaffa, leaving Rizwan perplexed. He took his time to process what just happened and walked back with a wry smile.

England have taken the Bazball approach to the next level and have played high-octane cricket to generate a result in the second Test, just like how they put in a well-timed declaration to enforce a result at Rawalpindi. In the fourth innings, England put Pakistan on the mat at 98-3 and look well on course to win the Test series in Pakistan 2-0.

England have come to Pakistan after 17 years and their victory at Rawalpindi was only the third win for an English Team on Pakistan soil. England also won a hard-fought seven-match T20 series against Pakistan 4-3 under the captaincy of Moeen Ali. England have shown how to win on placid Pakistan pitches were there has been little or no assistance for the bowlers.
