The world body has announced total prize money of $5.6 million for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. The losing semi-final teams will receive $400,000, while the Super 12 stage losers will receive $70,000 each. The winners of each game in the Super 12 round will receive a $40,000 prize. In the first round, teams will receive $40,000 for each win. The teams that are eliminated in the first round will receive $40,000 each, for a total of $160,000.
